How to use a laser cutting using Coreldraw
Before starting the Laser Cutter Machine,
convert File into DXF, save sketch individually
Pre Built Laser Cutting Models can be found in Makercase
Download DSF or SVG (Factor type files: Mathematical formulas, ensure sharpness)
1. Main Switch have to be on
2. Air compressor must be on so the chamber can have air


Switch is the red dot
3. Turn in the air circulation machine

4. Turn on the laser cutter machine and it will initialise the system. The light will be turn on

5. Log into the computer and press Coreldraw and skip. Create new file


*Ensure the file is at 0-1000 (slightly) by 700 by default.
⁃ Open our DXF file in our thumb drive and Coreldraw will identify the available files
⁃ Import the file by press the file tab
⁃ Setting:
Metric ( 1 unit = 1 mm)
Scaling: 1:1
⁃ select okay and move the mouse cursor to the place we put our board in the machine. Or u can adjust in the Apylock
⁃ We do not want the word
How do we make the line continue
⁃ Highlight everything right click and select combine
⁃ Highlight everything and press delete
*The line for the cutting frame has to be hairline (at the top part of the tab)
The colour for the cutting has to be red
Set to RGB and the use the colour dropper to drop the red at the side panel
R: 255
G:0
B:0
Ensure the hairline has to be combined

Before putting the item
⁃ measure the thickness of the item
For acrylic ensure that we put the matte/paper facing up so the soot will not stick at the glossy part (fire may spark but do not need to worry)
Safety interlock - L and R has to be green before starting

5. Highlight the item before sending it to the Epilog by pressing the print from the Coreldraw (don’t need to change the setting)
6. Epilog software - auto focus must be turned on
7. Setting for the speed, power, frequency and then check the appendix b or white board Alternatively, setting can be set using the import material setting. However, ensure power is not at 100% as it will is not necessary to have such a high power.

9. For thickness ensure that is 0.175mm more for variation
10. Air assist has to always be on to ensure compress air will be blowing out

11. Cycles the number of times you want the machine to cut. (Must be a whole number)
12. Can reposition check the X Y measurement at the top of the software
13. Click print from the printer and check the LCD - job and file name and then press go
14. To check if the material is successfully cut through one hand press the material another hand press/tap on the part that we cut. If it didn’t cut through press go again because the job is still available in the LCD
